Here are some links to various sites I like to visit. If you think you've got a site worth listing here, let me know by the e-mail address on the left.

Entertaining Sites

Team Nish. Visit this guy's site. Dunno why I'm putting it here seeing as he's always trying to break me, but it's a funny site.
Weebl and Bob. This cartoon makes me laugh in a quite scary manner.
Whitehouse.org. The site of the Whitehouse. Or maybe not.
Skepdic.com. Dispells many popular myths and superstitions through the power of reasoning.

Gig Promoters

The Virtually Acoustic Club. All kinds of fantastic services and info for musicians, including a highly comprehensive listing of open mic nights around the UK.
Up All Night. Great promoters who have given me far more gigs than I probably deserved.

Music Software (Free)

Audacity. A free audio editor, and a very good one at that.
MDA Plugins. Loads of top-quality free plugins available here. Why pay Waves your hard-earned cash when all this stuff is here?
KVR Plugins. Another great site for finding free plugins.
I'm also looking for a free audio recording/sequencing package to link to and do some turorials on for the site. If anyone knows a good one (for Windows) please do let me know.

Music Software (Commercial)

Tracktion. Now up to version 2, for beginners and pros alike, this recording/sequencing software is a joy to use, eschewing the overly complicated interfaces of Cubase, Pro Tools et al for a highly streamlined design that speeds up your workflow no end. It rocks!
FL Studio. The software formerly known as fruityloops is easy and fun to use but yields great-sounding results. Particularly good for beats.

Useful "How To" Sites

W3 Schools. Maintained by the custodians of many things internet, the W3C, this is an excellent place to learn web design. In fact I did most of this site by studying these pages.

Sites that can help you make money

Paypal. They power the credit/debit card donations on the site, and also offer a great "shopping cart" facility that's very easy to integrate into your site, all with no upfront costs.
BitPass. A company that helps you accept "micropayments" (very small amounts over the internet), particularly good for charging people for downloads such as MP3s.
Sepomo. They handle the text donations for us. Again, useful when you want to charge small amounts of money.
Google. These people hardly need any more promotion, but if you go there and click on "advertising programmes" you can find out how to get little adverts on your site just like ours, courtesy of the world's favourite search engine.
Amazon. Again, they can provide you with ads for your site, with commission for orders referred by you.

Games (free)

Free Games Fun. Massive archive of free games.
Alex-Soft. Another great archive of free stuff.
